Am I drinking enough water?
Probably not. On average, your water consumption should be ⅔ of your body weight in ounces.
For example: 100lbs = 67oz of water.
On average, an individual will lose about 1.5-2 liters of water per day just from sweating, bowel movements and even breathing.
Water intake can also come from coffee, tea or carbonated water. (Yes, that includes FitAids!) However this is NOT a license to only drink coffee. Hydration is no joke. Water consumption spread throughout the day is recommended as opposed to one binge session. When you drink too much water at once your body cannot retain enough to replenish the days loses and your kidneys have to work overtime to process all that fluid. NOT COOL.
The easiest way to drink all that water? Have a reusable water bottle with you at all times and drink from it often! Staying hydrated helps promote clearer skin and helps curb those mid morning or late afternoon cravings that... let’s be honest… we all battle.
