Allison Short

CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Level 2, CrossFit Level 3, CrossFit Gymnastics, CrossFit Kids, USAW Level 1, USAW Level 2

Allison Short has both her CrossFit Level 1 and 2, CrossFit Gymnastics, CrossFit Kids, USAW Level 1 and 2 and is CPR certified.  In addition to CrossFit, her experience and knowledge in the fitness industry spans over a decade and includes a variety of types of training including: personal and small group training, high intensity, cardio and aerobic training, strength training, and weight training to name a few. Prior to being an industry professional, she was a competitive gymnast for ten years and a collegiate soccer player. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin, Stout with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management. This is also where she was nominated All Conference and served as a two-year captain of the soccer team. Allison brings a level of knowledge and passion to each member of CrossFit Chippewa Falls, but her relationship with people is her first priority and her sole purpose for owning a fitness facility is to help as many people as she can be successful in their life.


Luke Short


Luke Short achieved much success as a high school baseball player (named Mr. Baseball 1998) and went on to play at the collegiate level for the Winona State University where he graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. For Luke, transitioning to a CrossFit Level One Coach was natural. It brings together his passion for health, wellness and sports, along with education. Together he and his wife Allison are raising two sons, Gabe and Cass and are striving to expand CrossFit Chippewa Falls for the sole purpose to improve as many lives as they can.


Derek Nette

CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Level 2, CrossFit Kids, USAW Level 1, USAW Level 2

Derek Nette received his Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. As a former athlete he competed at the collegiate level in both track and football. During his time at UWRF, he was a strength and conditioning coach. Derek leads the Strength and Conditioning Program at Chi-Hi. He's a wealth of knowledge when it comes to proper lifting form and technique.  Derek has his CrossFit Level 1 and Level 2, CrossFit Kids, CPR and USAW certifications. Derek also has a passion for Olympic Lifting.


Mary Wiley

CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Masters

Mary Wiley is a Registered Nurse working in cardiac rehabilitation. Although she received her CrossFit Level 1 in 2018, Mary has been a member of the CrossFit Chippewa Falls community since 2014. In addition to her Level 1, she has completed the CrossFit Masters course, which is specifically designed for coaches who work with athletes age 40 and older. Mary is also CPR certified. She credits CrossFit for helping her maintain a 100 pound weight loss. When Mary is not at the gym she enjoys spending time with her husband Paul, their three children, cooking, reading, traveling and volunteering.
